Chiricahua National Monument

December 2016

The columns, pinnacles, and balanced rocks of the Chiricahua canyon in Arizona make for an incredible, if somewhat frustrating scenic drive! Everywhere you look is another astonishing site! The problem is the road is narrow and meanders through the canyon. Places to pull over are scarce and stopping in the middle of the winding road is dangerous. Trying to take pictures through a car window is nearly impossible because of how close you are to the canyon walls and how high they reach. I decided to just sit back and enjoy the view and be grateful that Larry does all the driving!
I did get a few pictures but most of the really great shots were left for you to discover when you go there! If you’re a hiker there are 17 miles of hiking trails for a truly up close and personal experience!

Good Ole Stella takes us to some remarkable places!

What is it about dead trees that I find so beautiful?

 I loved this shot!

Believe it or not there were even more spectacular shots that I couldn't get!
This place is astonishing!

About Me

My photo
Larry and I decided to retire and hit the road. We bought a new 5th Wheel and new truck to pull it. We packed up the dogs and we're heading out to check off that bucket list. We wake up every morning and "Thank Our Lucky Stars" that we get to do this.
