The Museum In The Wall!

Still June 2016

See that building there? There’s no wall on the other side! The “wall” is a cliff! The building is built over the cliff to protect what’s in the cliff: the most amazing collection of dinosaur bones I’ve ever seen!

This is Dinosaur National Monument and it's a definite MUST SEE!
We took our two youngest here when they were little girls but they've updated the building since then.

In 1909 Earl Douglass, a paleontologist discovered the tailbones of some giant dinosaurs sticking out of the ground. They got a team together and excavated the area until 1924 then on his recommendation preserved the area for
“the benefit of science and the people”.
Thanks Earl! I’m glad they listened to you!
This place is awesome!

 The Wall!!!

A replica bone bench!

I love turtles! I had to include the turtle!

You can even watch Paleontologists at work!

The bones in the cases are replicas. The bones in the wall are the real deal!

About Me

My photo
Larry and I decided to retire and hit the road. We bought a new 5th Wheel and new truck to pull it. We packed up the dogs and we're heading out to check off that bucket list. We wake up every morning and "Thank Our Lucky Stars" that we get to do this.
