KQ Ranch and The California Wolf Center

January 2018

We started the year off at what became one of our favorite places!
Tucked away in the mountains of Julian, CA is a great little gem called KQ Ranch.
t’s a Coast to Coast Park with lots of walking trails, a pool (covered but still too cold for me), clubhouse, dog park, mini golf and a great playground for kids.
They have a mini grocery store in the office which is great because they’re a bit far away for a quick trip to the regular grocery store. They have bar-b-q dinners (with vegie burgers too!) and potlucks! We met lots of fun people, walked off a few pounds and visited The California Wolf Center just down the road.
Definitely a place we’ll go back to!

The view from our front door! Our first sunset at KQ Ranch!

If you've never been to the California Wolf Center in Julian, CA I highly recommend it!
You don't have to go camping to enjoy it. That's just one of the benefits of KQ!
Bonnie and the kids took me there for Mother's Day a few years ago!
She knows me well!
They have a wonderful education center and watching the wolves is awesome! These pictures make it look a little like a zoo but it's not.
The wolves have acres and acres to roam free which allows the people who run the place to learn about them. It started as a wolf rescue.

Back at the RV I couldn't get enough of the sunsets!
Our site was up on a hill giving us a beautiful view!

WARNING!!!!!

IF YOU HAVE TRYPOPHOBIA

(LIKE MY DAUGHTER)

DO NOT VIEW THE NEXT TWO PICTURES!

Don't say I didn't warn you! By the way Trypophobia is fear of holes!

If holes don't bother you take a look! Apparently these were made by a kind of woodpecker. They make the holes in the barks of trees and fill them with acorns! I just thought it was cool!

We saw lots of awesome things on our daily walks!

like birds. Lots of birds!

Yeah, KQ Ranch was definitely one of my favorites!
Welcome back to a new year of adventures with Larry and Sherry and the Doxies!

About Me

My photo
Larry and I decided to retire and hit the road. We bought a new 5th Wheel and new truck to pull it. We packed up the dogs and we're heading out to check off that bucket list. We wake up every morning and "Thank Our Lucky Stars" that we get to do this.
